What is a steam air vent?
Steam lines need to be kept dry and free of air. Separators remove water droplets, steam traps let condensate out while holding steam in, air vents release air at high points, and pump traps (MFP) lift condensate where pressure will not.
Wet steam erodes valves and carries less heat. Therefore, separators and traps protect equipment and save fuel.
