What is a suniso oil sl100?
Refrigeration oil lubricates the compressor and travels around the system with the refrigerant. The oil must mix with the refrigerant so it returns to the compressor. Mineral oils suit older R22 systems, while polyol ester (POE) oils such as Suniso SL, Emkarate RL and Bitzer BSE suit HFC refrigerants such as R134a, R404A and R410A.
Viscosity grade (32, 68, 100, 170) is set by the compressor maker. Therefore, use the oil type and grade on the compressor label, and keep POE oil sealed because it absorbs moisture.
