What is a cold room compressor?
A cold room compressor is the heart of the condensing unit that cools a walk-in chiller or freezer room. It works with an evaporator inside the room, a condenser outside and controls that hold the set temperature.
Compressors are chosen by heat load, room temperature and refrigerant. Horsepower gives only a rough guide, because a freezer room needs more capacity than a chiller room of the same size.
