Spiral gasket class 150 3 inch is a spiral wound gasket for ASME Class 150 flanges, sized for 3 inch pipe.
Use it on steam, hot oil and higher pressure flanged joints of the same rating and size. Replace it each time the joint is opened.
What is a spiral gasket class 150 3 inch?
A spiral wound gasket is a metal strip and soft filler wound together into a ring, usually with an outer guide ring that centres it in the bolts. It seals well under high temperature, pressure and thermal cycling, which is why it is the usual choice for steam and hot oil flanges.
Each gasket is made for one flange standard, rating and size. Therefore, a PN16 4 inch gasket goes on a PN16 4 inch flange, and a Class 150 gasket on a Class 150 flange.
