Butterfly valves PN16 isolate water and utility lines rated up to 16 bar nominal.
They fit PN16 flanges. In addition, check the seat temperature limit.
What is a butterfly valves PN16?
A butterfly valve controls flow with a disc that turns on a shaft in the middle of the pipe. A quarter turn takes it from closed to fully open.
Butterfly valves are short and light, so they suit large pipes. Wafer types clamp between flanges, lug types bolt to them, and tri-clamp types suit hygienic food lines. Larger valves use a worm gear so they are easy to turn.
