What is a PE reducer?

A PE reducer joins two polyethylene pipes of different sizes in a straight line. It steps a main down to a smaller line, or up to a larger one.

Compression reducers seal with a nut and O-ring at each end. Fusion reducers are welded. Either way, they let a system change size without extra fittings.

PE100 and PE80: Grades of polyethylene. PE100 is stronger, so pipes can have thinner walls for the same pressure.
