What are high temperature bearings?
Bearings are chosen by the load they carry. Ball bearings run fast with moderate load, roller bearings carry heavy radial load, tapered and angular contact bearings carry combined radial and axial load, and thrust bearings carry axial load.
Spherical plain bearings and rod ends allow tilting and oscillating motion, linear bearings guide motion along a shaft, and freewheels drive in one direction only. Therefore, the machine design decides the bearing type.
